Our Story

For the Love of Dogs: The Story Behind Tiny Dog Styles

My name is Ana. I grew up watching my mother sew during the day and into the night. That was how I learned to sew and where my love for handmade things was born. Seeing the attention to detail and the love my mother poured into every garment was my best education.

During school vacations, my mother would sometimes let me visit my grandmother's farm. It was there, as a little girl, that I experienced true magic. After finishing her farm chores, my grandmother would sit with me at her sewing machine, gather scraps of fabric, and we would begin creating dresses for my dolls. Those were magical moments—watching her, with so much love, patience, and dedication, craft tiny, colorful outfits just for me. She would ask me how I wanted the dress to look, and piece by piece, she would turn those little scraps into beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations. I was the only one lucky enough to have doll clothes designed by my grandmother, and I’ll never forget those afternoons with her. From that young age, I developed a deep love for small things. I believe that knowing how much love and effort goes into creating something is what makes it truly special and valuable.

Time passed, and the little girl grew up. Today I am 48 years old. Work led me to the United States, where I met the wonderful Dubrovsky family in the peaceful mountains of New York. Anne, the kindest boss I’ve ever had, introduced me to the world of dog clothing. Her sweet nature and creativity inspired me, and together we shared our knowledge and skills. She brought her cowboy-inspired designs, and I brought my experience with sewing machines, patterns, fabrics, and imagination. We created beautiful pieces for her online store. We worked together for nearly three years. Sometimes we laughed, sometimes we cried, and sometimes we worked quietly side by side. I will always be grateful for the bond we shared—Anne and Steve Dubrovsky became like family to me.

Though I’m no longer in those beautiful mountains, and I miss them and their people dearly, life has taken me on a new path with new challenges and dreams. That’s how Tiny Dog Styles was born. At Tiny Dog Styles, I want every little furry friend to have custom-made clothing designed with the same love and dedication my grandmother showed when sewing for my dolls. We are not a mass production company. Every piece is handmade by me—with care, time, and heart. Each design is created from scratch, thoughtfully and calmly assembled, stitched, and pressed, resulting in an original piece. Everything is made right here in New Jersey because I believe in supporting local production and honoring craftsmanship. Tiny Dog Styles does not produce in bulk or carry large inventory. I personally choose each fabric, yarn, and material. I cut, knit, and sew every item myself, making each piece truly special and unique. I believe fashion for pets should be just as meaningful as fashion for people—something beautiful, exclusive, and made with intention. These are not just clothes; they are artisan pieces made with love for the most loyal companions we have: our four-legged loves.

So tell me—who wouldn’t want a special outfit for that faithful friend who waits for you every day with nothing but unconditional love?

With Love, Ana
